Basia Toczydlowska is a Polish born artists and art educator. Basia teaches preK-8 art at Nathan Hale School in Chicago. In the past three years, Basia has exhibited her artwork at the Bialostocki Osrodek Kultury in Bialystok, Poland and at Städtiches Klinikum in Görlitz, Germany. In 2004 Basia completed the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she concentrated her efforts on writing a thesis on political art from Poland and its relationship to secondary art education, entitled: Shouting back: Political art from Poland as a tool in reclaiming power in art education. http://www.artic.edu/webspaces
